Wasnlt that Lever Brothers stuff? I can remember father's mother and her helpers using the tubs and washboards when i was a child...and I think she made her own soap.
Good grief, when did I last think of Rinso?! I remember it standing on the window of the outside loo in my grandmother's house, except that by then the loo had been incorporated into the main house by building a little bit on the back of the house. But it was like one, in all but name! Very cold and uncomfortable....

Fly, Lever Bros. A pharmacist came up with it, they bought and launched it.

Jenny, Yes this was one of those items always seen, but never used, in the cleaning area of everyone's house.
