FIFA Corruption at World Cup 2026.

So there we have it.  Another example of how Fifa have ruined the World Cup, not only by holding it in the USA Trump dictatorship but by also ensuring Argentina will win again.
The Norway v England game shows clearly how the referee, an experienced and capable official, has put his Fifa work before his reputation and the Laws of the game.  From the start it was clear England was to be given aid at all times.
One example is the ball hitting the wire connecting the 'spider' camera.  This is the absurd and needless camera that hangs over the pitch giving an exaggerated wide view of proceedings.  The By-Kick from the Norwegian goalie hit the wire, (though at well past my bedtime I did not notice this) the ball changing direction and aiding the English players.  One of whom then scored an equalising goal.  The VAR review must have noticed this, but nothing was done.  Now, in the ball is a microchip, this ought to record when the ball touches something.  In one game the recording indicated the ball had grazed a forwards hair, playing his colleague offside.  In this game the same chip did not record clearly hitting the wire.  Or so Fifa claim!  Clear bias aiding England.
We must remember, Fifa want the big teams in the final, not the wee teams like Norway.  This brings in more advertising cash, and Fifa want cash, not football success.
Norway scored a very good goal in the second half, yet this was disallowed because of a foul before the corner kick was taken.  The English defender, who's job is to 'block,' the Norway forward, pushes the big man, and in return is pushed back, harder.  Englishman falls to the floor and complains.  ON VAR review, the bought French referee decides a foul occurred and demands a retake of the corner, so no was given.  Clear cheating for England.
The picture above shows players jumping for the ball after it rebounded from the crossbar.  Clearly the English defender has his elbow in the neck of the Norway player.  Penalty surely, but nothing given, no VAR review, and the best team lost.
This has occurred in almost every game, either incompetence from the officials, or deliberate misuse of the Laws to suit the preferred team.  We have seen clear evidence of Argentina, and Lionel Messi in particular being given protection.  He, and his team, have fouled their way through this competition with no corresponding action being taken by the officials.  One ref claimed that at half-time, with the Argies not winning, a call from 'an unnamed source,' warned him that his reputation and career was at stake.  Obviously this continues here.  Money talks, and in the USA it is more important than anything else, certainly under Trump.  There is no need for this.  In 1994 the World Cup was held in the USA without such trouble.  A sensible (comparatively) President, decent stadiums, good fans, the only troubles were the normal football ones, not clear bias aimed at greed for cash.  Such a shame it has been spoiled here.
England progress to the semi-final to meet Argentina.  I can tell you now they will not win as Fifa want France to meet Argentina as more money will arise from this setting.  Half the world will watch the World Cup final, possibly 5 Billion people, in homes, factories, offices, mud huts, caves, shanty towns, and tents, so advertising money will be huge, and the Fifa president wants all he can get.
It is time for a change.
This World Cup means nothing, it is ruined for us all.
Will action be taken?
No.

Fifa Corruption?

Fifa, and their world cups, have always been surrounded by corruption, so it is not unusual to discover such corruption is continuing today.  This year's favourite is of course Argentina. It is likely the corrupt Fifa chairman wishes Messi and company to be in the final in Miami as this will increase the worth of the TV coverage, the adverts that accompany it.  With Messi himself playing well the coverage increases.  Football loses out to corruption again.
Of course Fifa has always been corrupt.
We remember the fuss when previous leaders have sent money, for football development,' to a variety of smaller nations in Asia, West Indies and Africa, which resulted in support for the president of Fifa.  Some people went to jail over this.
During the year 1957 one Stanley Rous became the man in charge.  This Englishman led Fifa for some time.  Coincidentally, during 1958 England were awarded the World Cup for 1966.  A surprise to one and all.  That World Cup saw England play all their games on a plastic pitch, a pitch that opponents grumbled at.  We also saw Portugal, expecting to play the semi-final in Middleborough given 24 hours to change venue to Wembley in London.  Eusabio will remember the bruises he received from one 'Nobby' Stiles that evening.
The final later was also to provide English corruption.
It is difficult to imagine how a Soviet Linesman standing 40 yards from the goal could not see that Geoff Hurts shot had not crossed the line when I, from 400 miles away, could see it had not!  It was also noticeable that the fourth goal was accompanied by an invasion of thugs onto the field, yet play did not stop as it ought.
England won, but corruption won more.
I look forward to the hypocritical whining after Mexico beat England this weekend.

Anotherd Day, Another Boris Story

One thing has become even more clearer than we once thought, and that is the influence of Vladimir Putin on the Conservative Party and Brexit.  We have known for a long time he was issuing social media bots and encouraging division in the UK from his St Petersburg geek farms, but the extent of his influence grows with the day.
Boris, who 'lost' his security man to escape to Italy and meet certain Russians, including Mr Lebdev, a son of a KGB agent, who now owns a newspaper and is a member of the House of Lords, the Baron for Siberia.  Add the number of people, nearly all Conservative members, including one, now richer by around £60,000, who began the 'Friends of Russia group,' Farage and the Leave.co people another with a leader who has influence in Russia.
A long line of Tories have received between £5,000, normally £10,000 and way, way up, including Jeremy Hunt who has been donated three bundles of roubles worth almost £100,000.  Now, for some strange reason, Boris is slow today in dealing with the local oligarchs, I wonder why?
Running around Europe, pretending the UK is 'In the lead,' when it is way behind the EU and everybody else, is more flannel for his audience, an audience that shrinks with each day.  We have a government completely owned by Russia.  Why can these people not be charged with treason?

Putin is not mad, but clearly very annoyed.  His corrupt government, his corrupt, badly trained army, with a great deal of inferior machinery, badly maintained at that, and with thousands of untrained young conscripts also, is struggling to take control of Ukraine.
However, Vladimir will continue this drive, he will not stop.  There is only one acceptable outcome, but the guerilla war that will follow any success Russia has will drain his nation more than the run on the many Banks has done already.
How will it end, will it end?  Will it involve us?
To be honest I do not get the feeling WW3 is here yet.  I hope I feel correctly.  Many thousands will die yet, how long before the west gets fed up with it all and forgets and looks away again?  We already look away from Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Syria, constant African wars, the Korean problem and all the other small conflicts around the world, badly dressed celebs are more important for some.  Soon Ukraine will go this way also.

Hard Work and Tory Sleaze

The sun shone this morning, I did not see it, my was head down on the floor fixing the loo into something of a serviceable workplace.  Now it gleams, sort off, smells of disinfectant, and can be used buy non choosy members of the public.  I also dumped the rubbish, then the recycling, exercised and by the time I sat down to watch the cricket I was knackered.  The cricket of course had started early, not at 3 pm as I expected, and I only saw Scotland's vain but glorious effort to catch the enemies total.  They can come home with heads held high and with much hope for the next tournament.
The work took a while today, what took ten minutes in the past took ages today, however, I needed to work, the execise was good for me, the job is done, nothing else went wrong, and a sense of achievement warmed me.  Nothing else bar the blanket around me was warm today.  In fact I even put the heating on at one point the temperature had fallen so low.  Rain clouds warmed the air later to a pitch of 'just freezing.'

Owen Paterson MP was caught by the Parliamentary Standards Commission fiddling things.  He took money, twice his salary it appears, to lobby on behalf of certain companies.  This breaks the rules!  The Commission banned him from the House for 30 days, very lenient in the circumstances, and today Boris led a rebellion against this finding.  A vote for an amendment opposing the ban was annpunced, the Tories put a 3 line whip on this, meaning all Tory MPs must support the vote as told, and in the end the vote was won by 250 votes to 232.  The 'Ayes' had it.
There is more to this than meets the eye.  For a start 6 Tory MPs who supported the motion have been disciplined in the past, many others may be earning cash for similar law breaking, and if Paterson was banned he could suffer what is called a 'Recall.'  This may lead to a By-election in his seat that he could lose.  Indeed, under the Recall he might have to walk away.   So many actions of this government are corrupt Boris fears such Commissions will render his will unlawful.  Therefore he has a bright idea, he will amend the Commission and insert his pown peoiple into it.  The problem there is both the Labour Party and the SNP, meaning most of the opposition, will not join this Commission, and a Tory only Commission has no meaning.  Maybe Boris wanted this?  Certainly he has much to hide so he will not allow questioning of his illegal tactics and dubious behaviour.
The country is run by corruption and so many do not perceive this or do not care.
