Another Wasted Day

Another day, another attempt at healthy eating falls flat.
Having lost half a stone through the non eating of last week, I am attempting to continue this by healthy diet.  Nothing so far bar Lentil soup and a tin of mackerel in spicy sauce.  Some despise these but I kind of like them.  Tonight it is fish and chips just because, not quite the same, but enjoyable.
I ate so little that at one point I could not think!  This, some may say, makes no difference.  The problem was I was avoiding things like bread, as I need no more fat, but the mind requires some carbs, and I was eating the wrong way again.
A quick trip early in the morning to Sainsburys the other day fixed that, and I am attempting to eat better, lose weight, and still keep a near clear head.  Doing the family history on Ancestry I need to be clear headed as it is not the best system to use.  This has changed since the last  time I made use of it and not for the better I say.  I may have to live on cheese on toast this week...

Tactful Sunak has done it again.  An off-the-cuff response to Keir went down badly as he asked him whether he knew what a woman was.  Keir of course is unsure as he may lose votes if he answers. However, the mother of a 'Trans' kicked to death' recently, the young killers given long sentences, was sitting in the gallery above having met several of the parties leaders.  What Rishi said is acceptable, the timing has led to another witch-hunt, once again all his own fault.  This man is Prime Minister yet he has no comprehension of the world outside, or the tact required to respond by saying nothing.  Another year of this.
Meanwhile Liz Truss is attempting to create a 'True Conservative Party,'  with Rees-Mogg and the like.  Seek out a  lettuce and note if it lasts longer than her again.

Tech Hate

I survived this mornings fight with the Sainsburys self-service machine, only twice having to ask the young lady to fix it for me.  The man next to me had no bother at all, I will have to use that machine next time!   Grrrrrrrr.
This ought to have been no surprise to me, technology has been giving me a bad time recently.  The router keeps switching itself off, when it returns the speed has gone from 55 to much less.  As it keeps happening each time it returns the speed comes back slower, 48 to 32, to 27 to 14!!!
The air is somewhat blue around here.
I think, as the land line phone is somewhat scratchy, I may need to call in an engineer to fail to put it right.  As we speak the speed is a mere 24, good enough for routine things but not good for things that require a lot of resources such as facebook or the football websites.
There again Ancestry is giving me gip!  I tried to insert a 'tree,' and it is so complicated, the instructions not clear enough for an ageing eejit, and it took several attempts before I began to understand what I was doing.  Several attempts at deleting things also!
Even worse, last night I lost my mobile.  I then spent some considerable time seeking the brute until finding it in my discarded trouser pocket!
I hate technology!

Smarmy Sunak took another step into incompetence the other day, betting £1000 with Piers Morgan that asylum seekers would be on the plane to Rwanda before the election.  Has any Prime Minister been more galling than this one?  Even Boris would not have fallen for Morgan ruse.  To think, this man has his finger on the nuclear button!

The Day Following Boxing Day

Having had several packets arrive, all in good time at that, it is depressing to sit here and listen for the ringing doorbell or knock on the door and nothing happens.  No postman arrived, no post van was noted passing the door.  Even 'White Van Man,' has deserted us.  If it carries on like this I may have to spend my own money on things just to have parcels to wait for.
However, while I wait, I do have several new books to read, they are in the queue like so many others, and a book voucher to squander on Amazon's cheap books also.  It would be terrible not to have books awaiting study would it not?

Another marvellous piece of sham PR today.  Having discovered that 95% of people do not wish to return to 'Imperial Weights' and are fine with 'Metric,' the Brexit promise to return to 'imperial' has been dropped.  On the same day they announce, with a smug grin, that from today you can buy wine in pint bottles!  Brilliant!
Of course there is one or two problems here.  For one, no-one bottles wine in pint bottles, and no-one intends to start.  The other unfortunate fact is that no wine dealer, producer, buyer, wants pint bottles of wine.  It appears Churchill asked for this many years ago, but since then not one soul has done this.
Another step towards destruction at Tory House.

Sunak and Rain

One of the most inhumane Bills the UK parliament has ever debated has made it through the Commons last night.  All this to keep Sunak in his job, the Nazi part of the Tories happy.  What will happen now we know not, but neither do they.  Just wait until after Christmas when it all blows up in his face again.
What depths we have reached.

A spot of rain forced me to remain indoors enjoying life.
This enjoyment included trying to find reference in the press to Sunak's victory, most downplayed it on the site.  The far right press want him out and Boris back, or someone as dumb that suits them.  When you look at those pushing themselves forward, Jenrick, Patel, Gove, Cleverley and he is the worst named politician around, you wonder what hope there is for the world.

Tuesday Twaddle

I understand how this leaf feels this morning, hanging there all alone on this tree, wan and lonely.  This I am sure has nothing to do with being at the Liberal Club last night for the SPAM meeting.  Once again, a handful of old men gathered to repeat the same stories once more, the same reminiscences, the same arguments, the same old, same old.
Worse still was my guilt that forced me to buy the drinks as I had not bought a round for about a year.  Of course, this means I will not buy again for another year, hopefully.  I noticed there was no opposition to this.
The fact that it was boring, except when I began an argument re the number of Islamic immigrants.  Some among us read the 'Daily Express' and believe all the lies found there, compounded by the neighbours and other Brexiteers around them informing them of the Muslim takeover.  How some two million Muslims have taken over a nation of seventy million is hard to understand.  Having a First Minister who is nominally Muslim, and a very nominally Hindu Prime Minister does not help.  I avoided reference to Pritti Patel and the unhinged Suella Braverman for obvious reasons, and avoided indicating that the next Prime Minister will be white, secular, and an imitation Tory.  This would upset what some have wanted to believe.
As always however, we all believed that our half truth opinions were the correct ones.  Ignorance of facts did not stop our determined considerations.  Something, which I must say, runs in this family...
Anyhow, they have become friends, good men, who when sober, still put Jesus and his word first.  Beer does open up a lot of deep beliefs of course.  Their ignorant, but deeply held convictions regarding Scotland, merely reflect the normal English opinion.  Next time I will once again wear my 'Scottish Not British' shirt.
Why does my head hurt...?

Nothing much has happened in the real world.  Keir Starmer is offering sops to the 'Middle England' Tories, and ignoring the needs of everyone else.  Scotland is long lost, half of Wales do not recognise him, but he knows where the votes are.  He promises better government, though that should not be hard after Boris and his gang have destroyed all that matters in the UK.
The 'Online Mail' has a suitable headline discussing Harry and Meghan!

In the meantime, hours after spending a day claiming 'I cannot recall,' yet not indicating why he spent hundreds of thousands in the courts attempting to withhold his 'Whatsapp' messages from the Covid inquiry if he had lost his phones or could not get them to work, Rishi met for breakfast with a bunch of Tory loons who aim to stab him in the back to his face.  It appears they got nowhere.  Maybe just maybe, an end is in sight.  All we need now is an opposition.

Late Post

To be fair the 'Daily Mail' has not got around to this yet, but they will!  They always do!
The only hoax so far is the one on the mobile from crooks pretending to be 'Evri,' click this link they ask for info re parcel.  Sadly if I use 'Evri' they always deal through the email, and that can be difficult also.  However, I finished wrapping the boxes today.  Almost no Brown Tape left in this house, and booked 'ParcelForce' to collect three of them tomorrow.  These might be delivered by Monday, or even Saturday!
One advantage of the web is not having to carry such things down to the Post Office these days!   'White Van Man' has his uses, he can carry the box and deliver on time, usually.  I only need to carry small packets and buy stamps from the PO, while Royal Mail line their profits through my book of stamps and hinder the actual postman from delivering what I send.

I began this post yesterday but failed to finish as I got bored reading it.
The 'ParcelForce' man arrived before 10 am today, cheerfully removing my three boxes, and leaving me with the rest of the day to catch up on the things missing this week.
I failed to do them.
Instead, I took my '£4 off if you spend £30' con voucher round to Tesco and filled up on things required, and one or two that were not.  These vouchers have helped the Christmas shop, and the one for next week,  sadly only £3 off, will enable me to buy the much used things I will need so as to avoid desperate struggles through the last minute Christmas shop crowd.
The mass of household chores that await have been curtailed because I do nothing at the weekends, so maybe next week instead will be busy cleaning, maybe.

The news on Twitter, but not in the press, has been filled with the 'Tetchy' PM going off in a huff because the press were asking questions he could not answer, and not for the first time, concerning his Rwanda Obsession.  Today it leaks out that the latest £100 million paid to the nation that has so far seen only Home Secretaries and no 'Boat People,' was signed off by Suella.  Who to believe?
None of them!
This shambles might be heading for closure, but what will result?
If I were he I would call a vote on this Bill, or is there one tonight?  Anyway, if the ERG and the neo Nazis do not support the PM I would take the whip from them and call an election for the soonest possible moment, probably the last week in January.  Conservative members who have lost the vote cannot stand as prospective Conservative candidates.  This means all the far right would have to stand as independents and would not beat the new Tory candidate, who would lose anyway.  He will lose an election but if he won he would be rid of many the nation does not require in the House.
However, owing to a glitch in the system I remain, as yet, unemployed as PM.

Why are there five syllables in the word monosyllabic?

Sunny Day

It has been a difficult day.  Everything I do is going wrong.  I was tired last night but still awoke at 5 am.
I fought this but had to rise at 6:30 in that half asleep way.  Whatever I touch has gone wrong since.  I am on a Browser, I try to click the star to save a link and instead press the 'X' and lose the Browser entirely!  I press the button to 'repost' on Twitter and find instead I am 'reporting a fault.'  I have tried to sort out Christmas cards but they keep going into the wrong envelopes, and then someone puts the wrong thing in with the wrong card!  Don't ask what I do when pouring the tea!
I have left all this until tomorrow!

I made my ungainly way downstairs to the basement to check the electric meter, I noticed how clean, neat and organised everything was round the building.  The man came along yesterday, clanging his steel ladders as he clambered up to clear the gutters of almost no dead leaves.  He sorted out the weed growth all around and did an excellent job there.  This is our first response to the inspection last week.  No doubt he will find other things to do also, but he claims he has to check the gutters in all her properties, and there are quite a few.
I checked the numbers on the dial, stumbled up the narrow, slimy, basement steps, and made my way under a shining blue sky slowly upstairs.  I am just glad I went to the right door!
Checking the crooks at EON I found I had used almost another 50% of electric in the past month, on heating!  It is time to get out the hot water bottles, make tea, use the rest of the water for the rubber bottle and place this behind my back.  This is cheaper than EON, better for me and cuts down the costs.
I mean I can afford to pay the grossly inflated price, which increases in January thanks to a crooked government, but we are being badly used by energy people.

"Hey Boy!  Tell them I am not going back to PMQs until they stop laughing at me."

Poppy Hysteria

Much nonsense has been talked recently re the Poppy.'  More false patriotism from the 'Daily Mail' and her kind.  They claim people are afraid to wear poppies in case they are attacked, they emphasis a man wearing a Para Red Beret, who claimed the Palestinian protesters attacked him in Edinburgh's Waverley Station.  This turned out to be a lie!  Indeed he may be a fraud, but we will see.  Tabloid hysteria finds many who ought to know better demanding 'action.'
With someone suffering mental retardation as Home Secretary, she has been igniting fear and hatred in recent days again, and her paper supporting her and the far-right nutjobs behind her we await a response from the man pretending to be a Prime Minister.  So far, nothing.
It is inevitable that as the Great War and Second World Wars fade from society consciousness it is inevitable that less people will wear or understand the reason for the Poppy.  There may be one or two born before or during the Great War, but they would have to be 109 if they were born in 1914, and I think the oldest person now is 107.  There are many in their 80s and 90s who were born in the period of the second war, but even they are fading away.  Younger generations, born since, say the 1960s on, will have little personal connection, unless they have made a search of the family history.  Certainly many have but the majority will remain distant from these events.  Time passing means this can only continue.
The great Palestinian march on Saturday will go nowhere near the Cenotaph.  However, the hysteria has meant the police now have to surround the thing with half a dozen men, because Suella says so.
The real danger may come from those responding to Robinsons call to 'protect the Cenotaph.'  The dead must feel grateful that such wish to protect them.

A Dream of Rishi

I have a dream, that is, I have a dream every night.  In fact, just as I wake, the dream leaves an emotional mark upon me.  Often this is pleasing, occasionally it is dark.  The other day, I began scribbling this several days ago, I woke at the end of a dream in which my nephew was trying to move into a block of housing owned by the Chinese.  The Chinese woman in charge was rather indignant with this and somewhat roughly demanded I sorted it out.  She had yellow forms in her hand, line after line of written information showing, and the thought that he wanted 16 houses was somewhere in this dream.  I made it clear his wife would not let this happen, then woke up.
What does this mean?
My nephew has not been around for many days, Chinese housing not at all, and the irate woman, well I always find them!  A man on Twitter mentioned his dream in which Simon Sharma put his head around the door asking for 'Foot Cream.'  Where do these dreams originate?
Now I quite like the good dreams, I wake happy with them, but they do not adhere to reality.  Maybe one day we can catch them on a mobile phone and terrorise the world with them?  This may be where Salvador Dali obtained his ideas...

Once again the Prime Minister has avoided PMQs.  Several times he has hidden himself away in the far distance, and as usual it is to avoid hard questions.  With trouble brewing as Tommy Robinson and his hired thugs gather 'to protect the Cenotaph,' while Palestinian demonstrators gather miles from the Cenotaph and head in a different direction, and Suella Braverman the Home Secretary fizzes and screams that she wants to be PM, Sunak is found missing in action.
This is a surprise...

Sunday Kids

Sunday was quite good.  This in spite of yet another child baptism, which I disagree with, and a long service to boot.  However, we were all cheered by the  number of children, of various ages, who arrived with the well dressed visitors, almost none of whom knew what to expect.
Once again the front rows were sealed off for the family, once more the older ones knew how to behave, the younger desperate to get out the door.  Consideration from the teens and twenties for either the hosts or the very young couple was lacking.  We are getting used to this.
However, I enjoyed the kids around us.  Well fed and cared for, the number of biscuits eaten aided this, and all of them happy, even the almost teenage group.  And the locals were all happy today.  Few visitors appeared interested in what went on, but we were willing to explain.  The locals here are good.
Sometimes I almost feel welcomed amongst them!

This comes to mind more and more.  The many indications that Suella will ban most protests increases, this means Scots protests will increase in spite of this, and all this to stop the Palestinian protests, because the friendly Israeli's are paying them, maybe?  She wants to stop charities giving tents to the homeless, in winter, and would like to get votes from the 'Daily mail' reader who supports her Nazi leanings.  Many of them would love to wear their 'Blackshirts' once again.
The next election will be within a year, I am expecting an 'emergency situation' in which this is postponed and a 'National Government' takes over.

A Boris Storm

It comes as no surprise to note that the Covid Inquiry has been informed that the Prime Minister, one Boris Johnson, was inept, incompetent, and willing to let old people die if it saved money.  It also comes as no surprise to note the right-wing press are not mentioning this today, instead attacking Cummings, the one time aid to Johnson, who revealed what we already had discovered from the civil servants who spoke in the days previous.
The message is Boris and Sunak had no idea what to do, money was more important, wise medical information ignored or despised, and Hancock, the Health Secretary, was considered by all around as worse than they.
None of this is a surprise, we knew this at the time, yet the media who also knew this kept quiet then and act surprised now.  I look forward to someone brining a 'manslaughter charge' on them all.

Another stupidly named storm is approaching the land.  Panic is being announced in the media, local councils are preparing for the worst, warnings abound re possible occurrences of wind, rain, flood, and mass destruction.
It's almost as if we have never had a storm before.
Before storms had to be named, and who's idea was that?  Before then the radio or TV man would tell us a storm was approaching, possibly 'Storm force 8 or worse,' and life went on.  Now we must panic in case a storm arrives and the 'Daily Mail' and other tabloids have a chance to attack the weatherman for not warning us that storms arrive during the year as they have done for thousands of years!
I may respond by staying in bed.

Friday Fussing

I am irked by so many things today.
It's bad enough the tech problems with the mobile phone: I phoned someone and found his face staring at me.  I still don't know how I managed this!  The phone switched itself on as I was seeking the number and off as I tried to switch off.  Bah!
A radio programme featured a middle class woman offering feminist baloney.  She said 'Women are expected to be sweet and quiet and out of the way.'  I nearly swore.  This is the basis of feminism, imaginary women who never existed justifies the well to do in there wishful thinking.  When I heard this I thought of my mum and her sisters who lived through two wars, a mining strike 6 months long, cheap passage to Australia for some of them and a new life, and bringing up kids decently on no money and just 'getting on with it.'  Many still do this today.  Yet this woman, not married or attached obviously, thinks she is suffering!  You can bet she looks down her nose at the girls on the checkout.
Have you ever heard of a woman who sits 'quietly and out of the way?'  Neither have I.
This one ought to have been strung up.

Kate, Williams bint, is in my view the power in the marriage.  This comes from her pushy parents, who have just seen one of their money making schemes die owing £2.6 million.  How can they get away with this?  Is this the first time they have failed?  Their house costs £5 million, why do they not sell it and pay their debtors?  Or ask Kate for the cash, she has plenty waste now.
The wealthier you are, the less you pay...

I am amazed that Rishi Sunak, the Prime Minister, cannot find the many phones he uses containing 'WhatsApp' messages from the period of the Covid Lockdown.  Amazing that Simon Case, the Cabinet Secretary, has gone sick just before his appearance at the Covid inquiry, that Boris could only hand over his phone, with bits redacted, if he has indeed handed over his phone.  I find all this amazing that at the top level of government there is so much incompetence.  Or should I be amazed considering the liars involved?

Friday Flannel

Life after a wee bout of Covid is not much different from what occurred before.  I sit here doing little, thinking little, and watching the 'to do' list slowly curl up as little has been done about that.  This however, changed today as I hoovered quickly because the boiler man is coming to check the boiler tomorrow.  This means moving a couple of things and I wanted to see the dust first and check what may be lying under there.
After that the world slowed down again, and I am glad.
The worst of Covid passed, but the lack of sleep and eating did not do any good.  I ate little yet my weight has not gone down!  This week I have eaten and slept much more, just like having a job again...
Have you noticed how facebook comes alive after 9 am, when office workers turn up for work?
Facebook at least has ceased the absurd ideas for now.  They have bled us dry in many ways, and still do, but I think the boy is just waiting for Musk to collapse so no new initiatives appear.  Musk, and his swastika Twitter, must collapse soon.  His latest idea of charging a fee has not gone down well.  The number who will move or just drop it, I amongst them, will be great.  His followers will remain but Twitter under Musk is very dead.
With parliament closing down so the parties can have a wee jolly at others expense, I not the PM, a man called Sunak I believe, has announced yet another 'U-Turn,' after being ordered to do this by one Liz Truss.  This has angered the other right-wing zealots who thought they were running the party.  None care for the UK of course, all are concerned to win an election, keep their job, and in Truss's case, make a come-back!  Surely not?  We await the stories of lax living at the conferences any time soon.
The King, that Charlie fellow, went over to France and more or less indicated that Rishi rejecting the 'net-zero' idea was a foolish idea.  Charlie spoke up for doing something about climate change just as Rishi was doing the opposite.  Charles has always been tactful.  There is no doubt he was implying also that BREXIT was a dumb idea and ought to be reversed.  The royals have not forgotten how Boris treated them, have they?  I suspect more to come here.
Summer has ended, Autumn has arrived, I can tell by the rain outside my window, always falling at the wrong angle to clean the panes.   While the natural Englishman still wanders about in shorts and T-shirt more intelligent people are now wearing coats, and coats with hoods I note, as they can tell the temperature drop and notice the wet stuff falling on them.  Some Englishmen appear not capable of noticing this.
I will now shut all the windows opened for air, close the doors, turn the over on to heat the place, and add another blanket on the bed.  I canny wait for January!

Tuesday Grumble

This touched a nerve this morning.  Especially after I had returned from Sainsburys where I obtained the things forgotten yesterday at Tesco.  I like to think I am a careful shopper, and I glanced ruefully ate the woman in front of me and her vast trolley full of goodies.  It turns out these are for two weeks, which makes sense, and indeed she appears to have bought wisely, or as wisely as you can with supermarkets gaining 45% extra profit!  So often I notice baskets full of overpriced crap, easily replaced by 'Own Shop' substitutes, and I am aware how fussy kids can be, but so much is bad shopping, or am I just a snob?
When profits rise they rarely come back down again.  While both gas and electric have claimed they are reducing my charges, but not by how much they have increased, the supermarkets are unlikely to lower prices now they have us trapped.  So we can expect to continue being ripped off for years to come, especially as they are donating to whichever government is in power at the time.
The Prime Minister, in his £3500 suit, may not feel the problem, which is why he has told the nation to 'Hold its nerve,' while failing to eat properly, but worry not, his wife has still not been asked to pay tax, so he is OK.
Sunak attended a garden party the other day along with many Tories, a smattering of Labour and others, and that nice Mr Starmer also came around.  Quite what Labour people are doing at a Rupert Murdoch garden party I cannot say, but this does not look good to me.  Keir hoping the 'Dirty Digger' is on his side.  'The Dirty Digger,' is himself hoping he wills till be alive to see Keir as PM.  He cares not who is in charge, Rupert knows he is the one that matters.
Another secret deal is under way.  Apparently, the government is trying to acquire houses, the old council houses.  Now, I am not sure if they mean those still available, or those now occupied by local tenants, but the government wishes to house a million or so highly educated, highly skilled immigrants from Hong Kong in them!
While the public are told to 'Look at the 55,000 on the wee boats,' the government is allowing a million rich Chinese into the country quietly, because they are rich and will vote Tory.  No suggestion of money to build houses for council tenants, under whatever name, no cash, just 'hand them over.'

                                                    Glamour

Willie has been given, is demanding, is seeking, but not from his pockets, £3 million to end homelessness.  Some say, 'Well done William,' I say, 'Publicity Stunt.'  Another excuse to pretend the royals have a purpose, another excuse for pictures of Will with the peasants, and probably her also touching poor people.
I ask, 'How much money will he put into this?'
Not a penny.
'Will he build houses in his Cornwell estates for the lower orders?'
Not a chance.
'Will he be given a free ride in the right wing press?'
Certainly.
'Will government policy be changed?'
No.
'Will suitable homes be built?'
No.
'Will the PR stunt continue?'
Only if people fall for it.

Another Hoo-Ha in the 'Daily Mail' this week.  St Pauls Cathedral has a magazine, and one item online intimated that Winston Churchill was a 'White Supremacist,' among other things.  Naturally the patriots, few of whom can actually remember Churchill, are aghast!  Fulminating as only those with no historical information bar that gathered from the press they cry out against such blasphemy!  Twice I have indicated to the 'Daily Mail' that Winston was indeed a man of his time, a 'White Supremacist,' an ungodly believer in 'providence' and 'destiny,' a dreamer, an Empire builder, and a racist.
They did not print that, not any other that spoke the truth either.

Scotched Rishi

Sunny Sunak visited his Scottish colony the other day.  He was attending the Scottish Conservative get together.  However, it appears he was about the only one attending.  They could not fill the 360 seat hall.
A press conference was to be held but trouble came when only a handful of press, all from the right0-wing papers, 'Sun,' 'Mail,' 'Express,' etc were allowed in.  Trouble followed, a vote was held, and even the men from the 'right' papers refused to attend unless all could come to the press conference.
After much squabbling this was allowed, but only one question, and that chosen by Sunak's guards.
This too was refused.
Eventually 6 questions were put, few answers, and the TV media allowed to ask 3 more.
Few answers.
This is how the UK is governed by the fascist government today.
No questions to be asked, only the right questions, no answers given.
The people, especially the English people, voted to be under this fascism.
With the May local elections due we will understand just how many will once again vote for this corrupt party.  I think a great many will, believing they will be 'on the right side.'  Once again they will be deceived.
Note:  Little coverage of this in the press, the TV, and certainly not the BBC.

Boris's Losers

PM Rishi Sunak has successfully put one over on Boris.  While 'Lard Boy' was lying in his teeth in the Committee rooms Sunak put through his revision of the Brexit Northern Ireland deal to almost everyone's satisfaction.  The result was the 'Ayes 515 the Noes 29.'  Some 22 Tory backbenchers, all the usual suspects shown here, voted against the Bill.  Six members of the DUP of Northern Ireland also voted against, plus one Andrew Bridgen, now an independent MP as his party do not want him.  Clearly the farce that is Brexit has reached a stage now.  A stage in which the return to the EU, or at least a close working relationship benefitting both sides can be reached.
On top of that Boris and his ERG supporters, all as mad as the march Hare, can be seen to be on the way out.  At the head Boris is fighting, I mean lying for his life in the committee room.  His main tactic is to blame everybody else, indeed one commentator explained more buses had been called for as Boris had thrown so many people under them London was running out of them!
I have followed his lies via Twitter.  I just cannot stand listening to him.  His bare faced lies, his buck passing, his sense of entitlement are too much for my tired mind.
As far as I know the committee is still in session.  Tomorrow the air might be clearer, his guilt obvious, and his fate looming.
Interesting to see how the commentators under the 'Daily Mail' stories are mostly against him, no matter how Paul Dacre and his lackeys try to defend him.
It could really be the end of Boris.

Wet, Boring Christmas almost Eve

After last night I spent a short time cleaning up, returning things to a normal state of chaos and dust.
I woke at 6am again, dozed until 7 am, then while considering rising to shop early, I noticed it was almost 8am!  Heavy with sleep I rose and prepared for an early trip to Tesco.  How does that happen?  If I am awake at 6, why am I not awake at 8?
I dressed for the heavy rain coming straight down.  I made my way to Tesco, changing my mind and stopping off at Sainsburys as it was closer.  Here, just after 8 am, the place was full of people avoiding the crowds, thus crowding Sainsburys and getting in my way, one who went early to avoid the crowds.
My basket heavy with overpriced goods I joined the happy throng at the checkout, too much there for me to fight the self-service.  The cheery lass enjoyed the fact that I was wet through and she would go home the minute the rain stopped at lunchtime.   I wished her a happy Christmas!
Back home I put away the drookit shopping and fought the desire to throw Brandy down my throat.  My head was still asleep and the rest of me wished to join it.  However, there were things to do, drying washing to find, who put that there?  And then rest my bones in front of the laptop while the router once again switched itself off for no reason and limited the speeds for me.  I checked the responses on my emails, the Irish song went down well, though one lass in Costa thought she had heard it before.  With no post again, another days strike, no post till next week sometime, I waited for the bell announcing another delivery from one of the other 'white van men,' but it did not arrive.
Only an after lunch sleep did my mood change, and then nothing happened.  Isn't it always the way?
Things I was going to do never came to mind, until it was too late to bother.  I intended to walk out again but thought better off it, the traffic has not lessened since this morning meaning the shops, town centre and everywhere is packed with people offering 'Goodwill to all men' if they get out of the way!
Christmas increases feelings of 'love' I find.
Good news!  The PM has appeared, mumbled about being carful about using railways, and not budging on strikes, that is the ones he has heard about.  He gave the impression he neither cared or indeed had  noticed any problem.  He may have been spending too much time checking the 'Financial Times' to see how his wife was doing.

Parcelforce and PlusNet Upsetting the World, well me!

I'm peering into the distance.  I work on the basis that the harder I peer, the sooner the 'Parcelforce' man will appear.  This is a similar attitude taken by people standing waiting at bus stops.  As you pass you will notice them staring hard in the direction from which they expect a bus to appear, the harder they look, the sooner the bus will appear, or not as the case may be.
So I sit here and peer.

I ought to be fiddling about with the router, though 'fiddling' is to be understood in the terms of 'mass murder,' rather than 'fiddling.'  Once again the brute cut out during the football, five times while Brazil were exhibiting super skill against the Koreans.  My language was not biblical, my attitude not forgiving.
The intention was to call 'PlusNet' this morning but I hesitated until I have tried all the combinations, pulled all the wires, and shot the 'Outreach' engineer.  Unfortunately, or it is fortunate, I have had to await the, as yet unseen, 'Parcelforce' man.  Otherwise I may have been seen hanging around telegraph poles awaiting men in yellow Hi-vis while dangling a variety of weapons sufficient to make the Ukrainians jealous.  As it is the van has yet to appear, my parcel lies awaiting below, and he is rapidly joining the telecoms engineers in my estimation.  This parcel ought to have gone last Tuesday but was refused as they were on strike Wednesday and Thursday.  Insert 'I support the workers,' and 'Grrrrr,' here.

Having discovered this brute was only giving 20.04, no wonder it is slow, I switched of the router, switched off the laptop, allowed both time to cool down and decide if they wished to work properly or not, then restarted them in due course.  The speed 'leapt up' (this is a misnomer) to 35.63.  Now this is of course better, and may enable watching the football today, however, it ought to be around the 60 mark!  Insert another 'Grrrrrr,' here.
Now I have a life, indeed it could be better but I do have one.  It is also true much of my life is lived through this blessed laptop, therefore when it fails all comes to a halt and I am exposed as trapped on a desert island.  I write a blog on here that few ever read bar those 'spiders' clawing information for Amazon, Google, Facebook and other chancers, but it is fun and an opportunity to shout at the world.  Indeed it was better in times past.  Some have died, some ran away, others drifted off onto Twitter, or family, or even a life themselves.  The rude repartee once enjoyed has lessened considerably over the last few years.  This is a pity.  Of course a great many got bored reading this codswallop, and who can blame them?  I read this and find myself yawning also.

There is blue sky out there, though the remaining leaves are freezing off the trees.
Rishis Sunak, the temporary PM, is in hiding, Keir, the temporary leader of what was once the Labour Party and is now the red Tories, has decided to attack migrants, not support the striking workers, and probably wants to lead the Tory Party after the next election.  He has all their policies!  What a disgrace, so desperate to become PM he has sold the workers and runs after the Brexit voter.   His Gordon Brown led 'Devolution' amendments have failed miserably in Scotland, as they would.  Not that Keir cares, on the 'Red Wall,' matters to him.
So the strikers continue to strike, on the railways, the post, the nurses joining them then the doctors and the paramedics.  December under the Tories with only thy right-wing press supporting their corrupt party is a terrible thing.  Of course Boris is behind much of this.  He is stirring rebellion, once Sunak fails at the polls as he must do Boris becomes the one to lead the Conservatives again.  Unless he is in jail of course.  It is time for Sunak to release the 'Russian Report,' and finish Boris.
