Cricket on TV

I note the rising numbers falling sick from the virus has caused worries in No 10.  Javid, the millionaire Health Secretary, will bring a number of concerned people together and try to work out how to allow as many as possible die without admitting blame on his or Boris's governments part.
That should be easy.
Schools are easily and deliberately being allowed to spread the virus, 'Herd Immunity,' even though this causes much pain and possible deaths.  I am not sure I can remember a government so happy to allow UK people to die for an ideology.  Previous governments may have been happy if people died abroad, but rarely did they encourage killing your own!
I note Brazil has decided to take action against their president on grounds of failing to protect the people.  Soon I hope, the same will occur in the UK.

I have been watching a bot of the Ireland cricket match, it does not last long.  Several Irish players look ideal for the rugby union side, I am not sure they fit in with cricket, except afterwards at the bar!
As I watch another leaves with a score of 1 run, the Sri Lankans are having fun here today.
Thus I have been occupied, ignoring the 'To do' list...

A PPV Hospital

Boris, with his promise of '48 new hospitals,' another of his 'open mouth and lie' statements, has led to the absurd situation in which the Health secretary claims to have 'opened a new hospital' when in fact he had opened a cancer centre at a hospital that has stood there for years.
Much head scratching led to many observant individuals pointing this out to the Health Minister, in straight forward language, mostly on Twitter.
Then we discovered why he made this 'mistake.'  A leaked document has appeared which informs one and all to call any development at a hospital a 'new hospital,' thus fulfilling Boris's statement.
Incredible but true!
Moving goalposts to justify a false boast yet ministers obey this?  It is becoming difficult to comprehend the mess that is inside this cabinet, made worse by them all being on holiday and ignoring everyone more than they normally do.  How do they expect to get away with this stuff?  Indeed, why do they get away with this?

This annoyed me.
The PPV was not available in 'England' for the Dundee United v Heart of Midlothian match because of 'Uefa rules.'  Why?
It has been available up to now.  Is this to force me to watch some English rubbish or possibly a Spanish game?  I would like to know.
However, I came up with a cunning plan.  I went to the Dunfermline v Arbroath game and their PPV allowed me in for £12.  The paypal payment took a while to settle but it all went through OK.
Interestingly, at the top of the foto it says, 'You are located in the United States.'  So that is how they dodge the Uefa rules.
Will this work elsewhere I wonder?  Will the top division work this one, or does it only apply to Saturdays, and why only 'England?'
As expected Arbroath played well.  What was not expected was Dunfermline being absolute tosh!  Arbroath thoroughly deserved their 4-0 victory, and it could be more.  Pars now trapped at the bottom, the 'Red Lichties' in fourth place.  They will shock many teams this season, not just feeble Pars.

Shuffle!

Now Sajid Javid was not one of my favourite politicians.  He gave the impression there was little he would not do to reach the top, compromise was OK with him.  Today we see another brighter side to the man.  Instead of replacing all his top Treasury advisers on the orders of Dominic Cummings, our real Prime minister, he has resigned and refused such orders.
Good man!
However his replacement, Rishi Sunak, a man with no idea what life is like for 'the man in the street,' has taken his place.  Sunak has only been an MP for 5 years, has little experience of fighting behind the scenes, although he was 'Secretary to the Treasury' and has an economics degree, but is now under orders to change everything to suit Dominic.  If he allows this he may last a while but we know who is pulling the purse strings at the Treasury.
I wonder if Boris knows...?

The removal of some is neither a surprise or a loss to the nation.  The loathsome Leadsom has been dumped and I suspect will not be missed.  On the back benches she might be found sitting beside Theresa May, I doubt they will discuss children however.
Quite a list head for the door, Dominic has clearly been busy.  Esther McVey, Theresa Villiers,  Northern Ireland Secretary Julian Smith, who I think also talked back, Attorney General Geoffrey Cox, he who 'forgot to mention £400,000  and ran an illegal fox hunt on his land wishes MPs to question Judges before appointment, and Culture Secretary Nicky Morgan along with Transport ministers George Freeman and Nusrat Ghani who you had never heard off but possibly disagreed with HS2 so get dumped, all these go.
New names of the unknown take their place.  More nobody's you have never heard off, more mistakes, buffoonery and false promises to come.  The future is looking good innit?  Another election within a year I say?
