Truth and Trauma

Azhar Ali, the prospective Labour candidate for the Rochdale by-election, has been 'disowned' by the Labour Party.  This comes after he spoke the truth re Israel and Gaza, and frightened Keir into running away from the Tory press.
The problem here is that Ali spoke the truth and upset the Israeli propagandists.  He made clear that Israel knew the Hamas attack was coming, that the defence force was instructed to do nothing, and that this allowed Netanyahu to attack Gaza, something he had long wished to do.
Nothing wrong here.  Nothing anti-Semitic here either.
So, 'outrage,' and 'fury,' appears in the Tory press attacking this man and his 'lies.'
But he spoke the truth.
Keir, aware of real anti-Semitic leanings amongst some in the Labour Party, though whether this was anti-Semitic or anti Israeli government policies is arguable, Keir decided to act, slowly.  He has withdrawn support for Azhar Ali, however, as it is too late to amend the election list Ali must stand anyway.  No official Labour candidate will no be available, and this means Ali will win with a whopping majority in a place Labour hoped to use to attack Sunak.  What a mess from Labour.  I note the 'Daily Mail' do not allow my comments to appear on their report...

Amidst all the press glorying in the murder of Brianna Ghey, and the press loved this story, there was one interesting point that was, deliberately, missed.
We heard a lot about the two who decided to commit murder, but little about their reasoning, nor what caused this desire.  The media enjoyed splurging space on the 'evil' twosome, using the word 'shame' without any sense of irony.  There has now been considerable comment from Brianna's mother, especially after Sunak make a joke about Starmer not knowing what a woman is, and setting off a bandwagon of faux anguish.  The gay/trans lobby supporters in prominent places rushed to express their concern and outrage, and to ensure their voters and the media heard their opinions.  Loud voices condemned the inept PM, many of them Tories hoping for a position under whoever replaces him, and the Labour Party urged the bandwagon on, considering this was the publics desire.
Votes mean votes!
Brianna's father, Peter Spooner, was loud in his condemnation of the PM, demanding apologies and heads rolling.  No answer came the reply.
This brings me to my point.
Why was the father commenting separately from the mother?
Because they are not married to one another, both appear to have other partners.
It would be easy to jump to conclusions here.
So, jump I will.
Why did this young boy decide he was female?
A young boy with several problems finds his parents splitting up.  Was this the trauma that led to his desire to be female?  This has occurred in many cases.  The media do not wish this to be mentioned, they are off one mind that such 'transitions' are normal, possibly because so many in the media or their friends are heading that way.  Of course the liberal society does not wish to believe that such sex changes are not normal, this is because this allows them to live life their way, whatever that entails, and we are not allowed to indicate how wrong this is, for them and others.
Did this boy go through a transition without any hindrance?  Did no-one indicate that this was a wrong move?  Or was he encouraged to 'be himself,' when he was not 'being himself' at all.
Divorce, parents splitting up, new step-parents arriving, can be very difficult for a child, especially one who is autistic or has ADHD, and can lead to confusion and problems.  Was this the case here?  Was there no-one who could stop this boy changing sex, by a piece of paper?
We are born male or female, we cannot change sex, and we cannot be born in the wrong body.  All this comes from a traumatised mind, nothing else.  God created us male and female, this cannot change.  Jesus demands our repentance so he can make us fully what we really are, we cannot become what we  really are by a slip of paper and self identification.
The police quickly established the 'trans' was not responsible for the killing.  That was the equally troubled lassie from elsewhere who befriended the child and soon decided to commit murder.  Quite what went through her mind, what caused her to enjoy torture and murder we might not understand, though similar things are happening right now across the world by men in uniform 'protecting their people,' while torturing and killing others.  Such attitudes to be truthful, lie deep within all human nature.  The nature we all carry.
So, one is dead, two are imprisoned, many more hurt and traumatised both near and far.
I am just glad the police worked quickly and successfully to bring this sad tale of woe to court.  Where would we be without a police service as good as ours?  But that is another story.

Wednesday Wondering

My favourite niece was bringning my new favourite great nephew to see me on Sunday, however, both she and her husband have contracted Covid!  This does not surprise me, though it worryies me as the kid is not yet seven months old.  Four people of my acquaintance have also suffered under this virus recently, and manay more besides.  The incompetent Russian spy who occupies No 10 Downing Street has followed the instructions of his greedy backbenchers and big business money men to drop all restrictions, including wearing masks on buses, in shops, in schools and crowded places and now he is even ending the free distribution of the LFT's that test for the virus!  NHS staff are now required to pay £5 or go wthout!!! The free parking for hospital staff will also end soon.  Now, unsurprisingly, Covid is running riot again!  Hospitals are overrun, and as you know the Tories deprive the NHS deliberately of funds, with 90,000 or so vacancies not being filled, although vast sums are offered for those who will lead 'Diversity and Inclusion (inclusive unless you are Christian of course).'
These facts are given little space in the right-wing media, which is all we appear to have today, it is possible Russia has a more open, free press than the UK.  These facts are not wanted so must be ignored, yet they will leak out in Twitter and other social media, uncomfortable as they may be for Boris and his gangsters.
It is noticeable that Boris has gained some support from his UKIP leaning followers by his apparent 'leading' of the defence of Ukraine.  The fact that this leading is another lie, the EU and US have done much, much more, is not something found in the 'Daily Express,' or 'Daily Mail,' and as to what is actually found in the 'Sun,' you can guess for yourself.  It is fair to say Rupert Murdoch's 'Fox News,' is still allowing that Carlson bloke to spout Russian propaganda daily.  What's in it for Rupert I ask?
Ukraine has hidden 'Partygate' for a while, however, this may increase some support for Johnson but the cover up by the Met Police will only harden antipathy amongst the rest of the nation.  Especially as on the day the Met announce some 20 fines for partying, names withheld, have been awarded Boris leads the Tories into a drunken party at night to celebrate!  Entering the Hotel they passed a line of silent mourners, mourning for their Covid dead.  The Tories ignored them.
The sooner this lot are in jail the better.
The problem in the House is simple, the Westminster parliament is based on 'Gentlemenly behaviour,' and if someone does wrong, for instance 'lies to the House,' he would step down from his post.  Boris and his gang 'lie repeatedly to the House,' but refuse to step down and there is no parliamentary means of forcing them to.  Gentlemen they are not, and they know nothing can be done about it.
This is of course made worse by a feeble opposition, only the Scottish Nationalists of either type oppose honestly, and indeed feebly, while the Labour Party waffles and wastes all our time.  What is Starmer for?
How the UK is desparate for a (seemingly) honest major politican with ideas, integrity and guts.
I wonder again if this is a judgement we are under for our false liberalisation of society?

I had an er, debate on Twitter last night re those who claim to ID as female when in fact they are male, and vice-versa.  It got nowhere.  The vast array of legal loopholes, laws, and 'rights' which was uncovered amazed me as did the attempts to justify this.
Quite simply we are born male or female, nothing else.  There are those who doctors find are neither one or the other and have to make adjustments for, this is fair enough, but these are a minority.  There are however, now many who believe they are in the wrong body, which they clearly are not, today such as these demand to act as they wish, in spite of others opposition.  In some cases men, with penis's, have been endangering women in women only spaces.
The 'Gender Recognition Act 2004' allows a man to ID as a woman, penis and all, however this does not in Law mean he can make use of all women's facilities, for security reasons, though this apears to be lax these days.
As we grow life affects us, heredity, family, life, war, disease, trauma of many kinds causes us to react, sometimes leading people into strange lifestyles.  Today we hear of one Tory MP who is openly admitting he is 'transgender.'  This began when he was raped as a child.  It has become known because he was being blackmailed and the criminal is now happily in jail.  In his case trauma caused a reaction, and I wonder how many others with this slant on their lives have suffered such trauma also?
This is too complicated to discuss in depth, and few of us know enough about it.  However, my heart went out to this MP, a Conservative at that, and wished he had had proper psychological counselling at the time, if indeed that was available in those days.  How many others do not get help, instead are only offered support to live a life they were not born for?
How lucky we are not to have to endure such trauma.

I hate Microsoft!
I hate Laptops!
I hate Photo Op!
I am convinced President Putin is responsible for attacking me on this laptop.
Everthing goes wrong.
Things appear on screen unwanted.
They disappear unwanted.
Today, I tried to upload some pictures of the camera.
It took half an hour for what normally takes a couple of minutes work.
Nothing would work.  I restarted the procedure several times, yet it failed.
I had to restart the laptop and then it worked first time!
Why?
I took a quick, and terrible shot, with the wee camera later, and this has given trouble on 'Photos' also.
It didn't work!
Again I had to faff around before it worked.
I was going to attempt a complaint to Microsoft but managed not to.
They might have cut me off completely had they actually read what I was thinking...

Trauma!

Trauma!  That's the only word.  Happy as Larry (who he?) I skipped cheerily across the park, speaking to white butterflies as they bitterflied by, smiling at passersby (which stops them hanging around near you) and wallowing in the bright sun when it popped its smiling head out between the clouds.
Then it happened!
I put my hand in my pocket and realised I had left my wee camera behind!
Shock!
It has been so long since I obtained this wee camera and I carry it always.  Now however it was not there, the pocket was empty, the camera snuggled in my jacket pocket, the very ageing jacket I was not wearing.  I stopped, I stared, sweat, cold and eerie, rolled of my forehead.  There was, I knew, nothing to photograph, I have done this town a hundred times, but I needed the camera in my pocket or I was naked, and that is not a sight to admire. My hands began to tremble, dizziness swung me this way and that, my heart beat awfully fast, spiders crawled across my vision my vision.
I began to sob.
The decision had to be made, do I continue my journey or return all the way back home, just under a hundred yards away?  There was no choice but to return.  I turned, the trembling and sobbing died away, my head cleared, the perspiration eased  and I walked into a spiders web. How sticky is that stuff!
Armed and content, with my wee camera rubbing against my life savings off 32 pence I smiled once again and headed into the bustling town.  I was bustled back and forth as I toured the charity shops, checking the jackets on offer.  One almost fitted, but as usual these shops only stock jackets that are just exactly the wrong size for me.  The nice woman in the shop agreed rather too keenly that my body may be the wrong size.  Hmmm.

As expected nothing happened.  There were no photo opportunities to speak off, all had been seen before, I need to move elsewhere, to a different town, and so I returned just in time to listen into the Scottish football on the Glasgow based 'Sportsound.'  Yes indeed the season has opened once again, with an excellent game last night between Partick Thistle and Dundee United, and once again I find myself involved with such games much more than I could be with the costly English game.  If it didn't rain so much I might go back there!

Tuesday, All Day

.

I suppose one benefit from the end of Osama bin Laden is that he removed that wedding from the news. On the other hand they now talk endlessly about nothing else! Without a doubt this is a major story, however the news media do have a terrible habit of concentrating on one story often to the extent of ignoring almost all others. However if they concentrate on a decent football* story then I might well change my mind of course.

*By 'Football' I emphasise for one or two of my unlettered American readers, by 'football' I mean 'football' and not either 'Soccer' or that throwball game, the one that bores intelligent peoples, that they play in the United States!

Isn't it always the way. At one point last night I began in my cavernous head a post for today. It was excellent, it made a good point, it was worth posting. I knew the picture I would use with it, and I was sure that it would elicit a response. It was interesting, and not just to me, enjoyable, and in my humble view I was writing it very well.
I just canny mind now what it was!
How often does this happen? This is not the first time I have mentally written a post (as opposed to writing a mental one) and either forgotten what it was or when writing the thing discovered it just would not come out right. All too often the thoughts in the head appear to be right but as I write they do not work. Could it be that typing on such a keyboard as this, including the sticky 'E' makes it too easy to rush ahead of the thoughts. Maybe writing longhand would produce better results, if I could remember how to do that! Anthony Trollope wrote many books, lots of letters, pamphlets, essays, items for magazines and newspapers often while on the move. His job as boss of the Post Office in Ireland (then under British rule) meant constant travelling. On coach or in the train, and you know how shoogly they can be today, imagine Victorian ones, he wrote in longhand. At least that way his thoughts were slower in appearing on the paper.
In fact one of the ways people can overcome trauma is doing just this. The very slow process of writing in longhand can help the mind to sort out lots of confusion that trauma, especially serious trauma can leave a person. A great many men who came out of the war had serious difficulties dealing with their experiences. Guilt, conscience, shock, the loss of friends, sights often too revolting to mention, all these can be the results of war and in 1945 people were for the most part just told to 'get on with it.' There was nothing else to do!   While this may not be a total answer to trauma it can help the mind organise the thoughts and help ease the difficulties problems can give us.
Hmmm I think I might go look for a pencil.....
