I've never been a cyclist. Even when I was a kid I never had a bike (I've never owned a bike)...my brother did...but I didn't. Anyway, the town we grew up in is very hilly, so I could really see no point in riding a bike when three-quarters of the time you had to get off the bikes and push them up the hills!
I walked everywhere...and that everywhere covered a lot of territory. Nowadays I take my car and cover as much! ;)
All that seems too much fiddling around for me...carrying bikes up stairs etc. as per the video...
Is one of the main reasons why you despise Queen so much is because Freddy Mercury could get a fat-bottomed girl on the back of his bike while you have so often failed to do so?

bet the normal commuter would just love having a pack of smelly cyclists invading their hallowed spaces.
