When I see places like that I always think how much things have changed since they were built. Bet that river was used for bathing, drinking and sewage!!

Is it safe to assume that those two end units have some structural damage? It is still a beautiful shot of the river, however.

Jenny, They lie next to what must always have been a main road, just outside the old Roman walls.
There must have been a small hamlet there and one or two buildings exist, and an old mill was once close by.
Bathe there yes, sewage most likely.

Fish, Just age making them move slowly. I suspect to buy they would cost a pretty penny.
