Much of my day, when I was not wasting it doing nothing profitable, was spent it reading this book. So far it has been most enjoyable. Info on the early church development is worth reading. It takes us near the beginning and those who came immediately afterwards have a lot to tell us. That is when we can find them! Why did they not write down more I ask? How thoughtless of them. History is a fantastic subject.

It is a shame that we don't have more on the day to day experiences of those involved in the earlier days of the church. For it is quite natural for us to think that must have been quite different than we are when the absolute truth of the matter truly is that it was only our Heavenly Father doing extraordinary things in and through ordinary people, which is as it still is and will be until the end of this world.
