Jake! Where are You?

So the Olympic Torch has moved on to France and Jake appears to have gone with it! The audacity of the Chinese to oppose anyone who speaks against them instead of admitting their wrongs! Internet warriors who are just as effective as the Jade Warriors found on display in museums.

Jake, read what was written for you and think about it. Life is too short to be under the thumb of a political tyranny.

The Olympic Torch has found the going tough in France and the Chinese refused to allow the gathering to proceed as long as pro Tibet banners were seen high above on the Eiffel Tower! Where the Torch is not is unsure, and I wonder if it will be seen anywhere else, except in China and possibly Tibet. What fun that will be for the Chinese authorities. More opportunities to kill and imprison Tibetan monks who oppose the Chinese oppression!

The Olympic Torch running through the streets of competing countries has become the usual forerunner of the Games. This was not the way of the ancient Greeks but an invention by those who choreographed the Games in 1936. Yes indeed Adolf Hitler , probably under Speers influence, introduced the Torch for the Berlin Games. I wonder what those who wish to separate politics from Sport would have said then, or in deed what would their comments have been in 1945? Hitler and Communist China, what is the difference? Totalitarian, inadequate, dangerous and the rest of the world does not stand up to them until too late.

C'mon Jake, excuse Chinese brutality once again!

You seem to question my legitimacy nonstop, I don't know if that build your condidence or what. I don't need to be a 'despicable' cyber-warrior operating under the orders of "Tyranny" to speak what i want here in China, as long as those are in comply with the National Law and Constitution. We are all warriors to what we believe!

Democracy is a univeral concept and it is practised in various ways. Western world spent 200 years building their democratic system, and it just is their democracy, it did not work out for Russia in the 1990s while western democracy was equivalent to chaos. And it will not work out for China any time soon. China is a quintessentially ethnically divided nation, it is the opposite of an immigration society, Relatively stricter censorship is now a necessity to reach unity for the well-beings of 1/5 of the world's population who has various worships. Now who doesn't love a full-blown Democracy? But without the social stability, democracy will ended up as a exuberant mist. China still has a lot to catch up on the road of democracy, and that doesn't necessarily mean we need to grab a western jacket and force to be fit in it. I think we are fully capable of developing our own democracy to serve the best interest of the people of this great country, and the process to achieve democracy has never stopped here in China, however it's going to be a conspicuous and tempestuous period of time under the heavy criticisms from western medias, some of them often flaunt their justness, bear UNRECONSTRUCTED resentment to Communism, and played as a hatchet for their governments who benefited from China's growth yet treat this country as nothing but an energy looter.

You mentioned yesterday that Muslims and Christians in China suffered consistent harassment from the authorities and imprisoned for pro-democratic calls. I have some Muslim and Christian friends, and many Chinese Muslim and Christian friends, I've never heard one of them or anyone within their respective communities complained being harassed or imprisoned. However, within any religion there are extremists, I CAN see from various Chinese medias that there were hundreds of Muslims apprehensioned or imprisoned on an annual basis, not because they are Muslims, rather because they instigated the subversion of the authorities in XingJiang province, if not other provinces. And they well deserved to be imprisoned by any standards. And about Christianity, I remember last summer there were some lovily old ladies handing out brochures and Bibles converting colleage students to Christianity on my campus, they are not banned or thrown behind the bars for what they did. Though majority of Chinese are atheist, that doesnot hinder our respect to those who worship a different God.

You can cynically say Chinese authority took some pleasure out of imprisoning or killing Tibetan monks. I oppose muzzling or killing dissenters, but I was wondering do you have the actual numbers of the killed Tibetan monks in this issue? that perhaps you can show me? And don't believe everything your press said!

Hitler led its empire to ruins and Communist China led its country to prosperity, that's the difference! Your reductionism comparing Communism China with the world's most notorious war criminal is unacceptable, I hope that's not the way you see the world?! Based on your logic, what's the difference between the former British empire and Nazi? They invade countries, killed their people, looted their treasuries. They forced selling opium to China back to the 19th century, brutally killed tens of thousands of Chinese dissenters, igniting "The Summer Palace", snatching numerous other national treasuries, What was that make you, hmmmmmmm?

Life is too short to politicize everything that came along!

Ah Jake, how nice to hear you.

Oh but you sound just like a cadre of your party! The idea that democracy has to be different in China is an excuse for the leaders to keep control of you and everyone else. That great land has no reason not to open out to a true democracy today! Stability would be no problem, and the nation has gone from Communist to Capitalist (which it is) almost overnight!

I disagree with your belief that Christians and others do not suffer. It is well known that a church has to submit to an 'official' church and if it does not is closed down. Many have been suffering because of this. There is NO reason any church should be controlled by any state! Maybe your 'media' does not give out such information. I understand 'Google' and 'Yahoo' must block political and other websites that your government disagrees with. How can any government block free politic al discussion this way? They have something to hide I think.
As regards XingJiang province, Surely China can learn from the UK how to handle this. As you are aware Britain in four countries united as one - the United Kingdom.
In Scotland, my land, many want independence from the UK, and in the process of time this will happen. Scotland has, once again, its own parliament and possibly soon complete independence. This ought to happen in XingJiang. People have the right to choose who they belong to.
Ah the British Empire! What a farce that was. How they could have dared to take over the world amazes and repels me! It had similarities to the Nazis in taking from others, but as you know the Nazi philosophy was very different. Indeed, psychopathic!

I see the Australians are being straight with you regarding the terror in Tibet, and the brutal people sent to protect the Torch appear to be Chinese Police! Hmmm! :)

Your nation needs to readjust very quickly or they will suffer badly during the Olympics! No amount of propaganda will change the facts!

I hope you managed to watch the Liverpool v Arsenal game last night - best game I've seen for a good while!
