I know of at least one feller who would take issue with that. I can't remember where or when, but my wife and I both about died when we saw a clip of some guy mopping a latrine floor while mumbling, "Adventure my a$$," which was in reference to the Navy recruiting slogan at the time of: It's Not A Job. It's An Adventure!

Reminds me of an ex-navy friend who said "I joined the navy to see the world. Then they put me in submarines."

Mostly he saw painted steel. Submarines aren't big on windows. Oh. And Faslane.
No matter where they went, and for how many months, the only bit he usually saw was a rainy arrival, or a rainy departure at Faslane.
