Ordained Life

We tend to forget that Jesus spoke of 'wars and rumours of wars,' and 'nation shall rise against nation.'  A lack of Old Testament knowledge, especially the Book of Kings and Chronicles, is revealed.  Both inform us of God ruling this world, as well as the lives of those who choose to allow him to grant them abundant life.'  

When Sennacherib was at the door the king ran to Isaiah the prophet for Gods word.  He was informed the Assyrian would leave and he would be cut down by his own sons.  Which followed.  

Isaiah in his book, chapter 37:26 speaks:-  

26.  ‘Have you not heard?

Long ago I ordained it.

in days of old I planned it;

now I have brought it to pass,

that you have turned fortified cities

into piles of stone.

27. Their people, drained of power,

are dismayed and put to shame.

They are like plants in the field,

like tender green shoots,

like grass sprouting on the roof,

scorched before it grows up. 

God is in control at all times.  

He raises up nations and he brings them down.  The leading men of this world are not as powerful as they appear.  Spiritual war is occurring all around while God works out his purposes.  Those who give themselves to him will suffer greatly, many already do, but they will know God.

Jesus Christ is Lord.
