Kids Day

Big magic day, thousands of kids, mums too, grans and weary granddads, all rushing about, screaming (the adults) yelling and shouting and playing around.  Face painting, I declined, cupcake making and making noise was on the agenda.  Inn the hall pirate fighting training was underway which I also avoided those kids and violent, and all were dressed up.  The boss with luminous green eyes was a bit off-putting at first.
Now I have three days to sleep it off and do the things undone...

Wasn't there a pirate who plaited his hair...or beard...with gunpowder? Should have had someone offer to do that for the kiddies...

Half term eh , you cant beat it. The Welsh half term is a week later than England........Wales is always behind!!!!!! Its good to see that there are no admission charges, we have the same here too, and like your museum they are well used. Another way of learning for all.

Fly, Blackbeard I read put fuses in his long hair and lit them to make him look fearful. He does not appear to have been PC in his attitudes. Plaiting hair with gunpowder goes against Museum Trust legislation - says the manager!

Dave, The Scots week was last week! None fit together. Round here some schools go at differing times. Actually there are admission charges. It is just the way it is phrased. In the past we charged separately for events now we charge them admission and they get the event free, if you see what I mean. It is less complicated than before but the phrasing causes confusion. Only really large important museums are free, they get grants! We have to raise cash.
