Cricket

A combination of hot weather and no football made me switch on cricket today.
Almost immediately England were out!
Good one I say!
From the responses of the common English follower, and I mean common, it appears this has become the norm in this test.  For some reason I am smiling here.  When I first lived down south I was shocked at the common Englishman being so excited by cricket.  To me, and most Scots, it was just a daft game, yet they got very excited when Essex or Middlesex won something.  I just looked on in amazement.
Today, it's New Zealand teaching the English how to play their game.
I often mention to such enthusiasts that by digging up all this empty green spaces that exist all around the country, we could fill them with council homes for those that require them.  This has not been enthusiastically accepted by many.  I have yet to understand why?

Pictures from the screen are never very clear.  Nor is this one...

Dig them up? And remove the only opportunity people have to dress as carrots and be accompanied by their personal chef? Not to speak of the bananas, the air hostesses, and, on occasion HM the Queen, whose frequent uprisings to visit the loos have the crowd rising in homage and singing the national anthem....
The game? Well, that is incidental.....

That's pretty funny them singing God Save the Queen to whoever is dressed up like that. And I took a photo from TV of a couple at a baseball game dressed as hot dogs! Made me laugh!
