Now as you know I am a quiet humble person, not one inclined to moan or grumble, I just get on with things quietly. However, this morning, first thing, I got somewhat irked when the laptop struggled to start. This was because the power adaptor would not work. The brute kept telling me the power was low as I struggled to get the adaptor to work. I pushed it in, wriggled it about, all the while power draining from the already low battery, and in the end I gave up, with 1% power left.

I am using the spare laptop, obtained a while ago when the previous one died. This is not so good. Using Win 11 it is set up differently, the thing respond differently, and I am used to the other one with everything I want already in line awaiting. So, what to do?
One trick is to attempt to clean the slot, this failed, another is to order a new adaptor and hope that works. If not, the receiving part is faulty. This means a new laptop.
So, I have been threading my way through Win 11s bad layout searching laptops. It being so long since I did this before everything has changed and I have little idea what it all means. However, I have noticed the prices have not come down any! I wonder why?
Dell, HP, Lenova, and others have all been scrutinised to the extent my eyes are watering and unable to see clearly now. Badly laid out websites, far too much needless info, far too little obviously required info, all a bit of a mess I say. However, it means little if the new adaptor works, if not, I might have to pay out money.
I reckon I have had this one for some time, I think 2009, and therefore it is bound to be a bit worn. However, I am used to Win 10 now, I do not like Win 11, and all my good stuff is on the other pc. Tsk!
Anyway, time for Lentil Soup...
