Reminds me of a poem by Lewis Carroll. A very strange one called "Little Birds" about surreal things little birds do. The verse goes
"Little Birds are playing Bagpipes on the shore where the tourists snore. "Thanks!" they cry, "Tis thrilling Take, oh take this shilling! Let us have no more!"
The definition of a gentlemen: a man who knows how to play the bagpipes, but doesn't! HA HA Seriously though, I love the bagpipes, absolutely LOVE THEM. Do you know the Mull of Kintyre song by Paul McCartney? I didn't hear it until 1985 and I don't understand why it wasn't a hit in the USA. I love that song.
Kay G...Wow! How strange Mull of Kintyre wasn't a hit in the States...it was a huge hit here Down Under. I've a funny story attached to that song...I won't take up space here in Adullamite's blog, but I must write about it in my own one day soon...now that you've brought it to my mind. :)
