I no longer have a nation!

I no longer have a nation!
The people of my nation sold themselves in a cowardly manner to be the lapdogs of the English Empire. Throwing away the opportunity to be 'a nation again' instead they trusted to the financial 'security' of George Osborne!
My Scotland no longer exists. Instead a cowardly bunch, happy to live with the bedroom tax and foodbanks, have become a nation of Toom Tabards.
We had the potato famine, the Highland clearances and Darien yet this ranks as the worst disaster Scotland has ever suffered and the people responsible are the Scots themselves!
I await the announcement from some back bench MP that form tomorrow Scotland will be known once again as 'North Britain.'
They will have deserved that!

I guess it really isn't my place to comment..but I think you probably got the drift from my previous comment in your previous post.

I really thought the Scots had more pride than what was shown. I am not Scottish but I feel very badly that the once Great Nation of Scotland no longer exist. There should be lots of tears from Heaven from William Wallace and his band of freedom fighter. I cannot imagine a chance for FREEDOM and not taking it. That is my two cents worth. Peace

Stop Press 55% of Scots declared Traitor Knaves!

Scots wha hae wi Wallace bled
Scots wham Bruce has aften led
Walcome tae yer gory bed
Or tae victorie
Nou's the day an nou's the hour
See the front o battle lour
See approach proud Edward's pouer
Chains an slaverie!

Wha wad be a traitor knave?
Wha wad fill a couard's grave?
Wha sae base as be a slave?
Lat him turn an flee
Wha for Scotlan's king an law
Freedom's sword wad strangly draw
Freeman staun or freeman faa
Lat him follow me!

By oppression's woes an pains
By our bairns in servile chains
We wad drain our dearest veins
Bit they sall be free
Lay the proud usurper low
Tyrants faa in every foe
Libertie's in every blow
Lat us dae or dee!

Fareweil tae aa our Scottish fame
Fareweil our ancient glory
Fareweil e'en tae our Scottish name
Sae famed in martial story
Nou Sark rins ower the Solway sands
An Tweed rins tae the ocean
Tae mark whaur England's province stauns
Sic a parcel o rogues in a nation!

What force or guile could not subdue
Thro many warlike ages
Is wrocht nou by a coward few
For hireling traitor's wages
The English steel we could disdain
Secure in valour's station
But English gold has been our bane
Sic a parcel o rogues in a nation!

O wad, ere I had seen the day
That Treason thus could sell us
My auld gray heid had lain in clay
Wi Bruce an loyal Wallace
But pith an pouer, till my last hour
I'll mak this declaration -
We're bocht an sold for English gold
Sic a parcel o rogues in a nation!

I would sure love to hear why you have spent so long living in England when you have made it quite clear that your heart belongs to Scotland. If you have already told it, please point me to where it can be found.

Have a wee dram and the world might look a little different, hopefully.

There are all kinds of reasons why we do not live in the place we love .... I know that from personal experience... I'm so glad I have been able to spend so many years in London which I love. At one point I could not do this.
