  1. This was such a nice funny and gentle little programme. Does it have happy memories for you?

  2. I still think Jasper Carrot's version of Magic Roundabout was the best.

  3. It's a bit mature for your age group. Did you get most of it anyway? :)

    I thought you told me a roundabout was a traffic thing. Now I will have to start over. How many other false words have you slipped into my list?

    Nice music. I'm afraid I'm a first-timer for this. Was it a series or just this one programs? I thought Mr. Rogers' puppet Lady Eberline was the only one who spoke like that. :)

  5. Jenny, The Magic Roundabout appeared in 1965 and was shown just before the BBC 6 O'clock news. The humour appealed to adults probably more than kids and it became a cult. Eric Thomson, who wrote and narrated the stories was the father of Emma the actress, so he was not all good! Read more...

  6. Thank you. I know "carousel." It is British for Merry-go-round." Do you know what a helter-skelter is?

    Never mind. That's a different topic. I liked the music.

    I seem to remember there was a kind of international thing going on.

    Florence=Italy Brian=Britain Dougal (DeGaulle)=France Dylan=USA, Zebede=Spain etc.

    Or maybe it was drugs....
