The Bad Boy

For the past while I have been suffering forty anonymous Spam from the usual chaps.  However the past few days have offered me a hundred or so claiming to be from a doctor specialising in 'Lyme Disease.'  Today it claimed to be a holiday resort on the German border.  "Enough!" I cried! A quick movement to the settings page, a click on "Registered User," meaning no more "Anyone," and I have prevented the scallywag getting through.
However I remain unsure whether all correspondents will be able to comment if they do not use Blogger?  I am perturbed here.  So can I suggest if you post a  comment and it does not reach me you post a comment to inform me of this?  Thanks.

I haven't had any spam for weeks. I feel quite neglected...

Anyone can set up a Google account quite easily and that's all that's needed. Of course so can the spammers.

Now posting comment.
I'll look tomorrow.

By the way....this is Helen....the Wordpress ID doesn't work for some reason.

If I post a comment and it doesn't reach you, then post another telling you of this? Is that what you just said?

Anyway, you should have blocked anonymous comments a long time ago. Now go one more step and delete comments if they don't have a real blog to visit.

I mean, if you want to.

Enjoyed your blackbird post immensely.

Of course, if they have a real blog and just don't post on it, then that's ok.

A, If you want spam I can invent some? Indeed some spammers do open Blogger accounts, anonymous just devises a code and send out millions a day to one and all.

Fly, yes I thought WordPress would fail. That is the only problem with using the anon blocker. Still you are here and that makes me happy!

Max, You find fault? I never post on blogs that don't exist, no one reads them.

If I leave comment and it does not get through, did I actually leave a comment?

I've been getting a lot of "Anonymous" posts lately, too...and they are damn annoying to say the least!!!

Jerry, What was that...?

Lee, The only thing with altering the button is that WordPress cannot post comments on Blogger.
