A bit before your time, but take it from me, their music was proper indeed. :)

I mean I THINK they were around when you were a bit too wee to actually remember. After all, you can still ride a bicycle. :)

Or wheel one...

What a band!
Sadly, I failed to get a ticket, sold out, dammit, for the gig that became the "Live at Leeds" album in 1970.
I bought the album though.
In those days, I associated more with rockers than mods. (max won't understand that) Although the Who became Mod icons, I think they were rockers on scooters.

Now let me see.... what bands did Scotland produce... the Bay City Rollers?

Okay. My conscience won't let me get away with that. As a penance, it requires me to confess that one of the best and most menacing rock bands ever came out of Scotland.

The Sensational Alex Harvey Band. I had the privilege of getting thoroughly pissed with them in Oxford, in 1974? or 1975, one or the other. And yes, I couldn't keep up the pace, I think I was left for dead somewhere along the way, puking my guts out. But what a night!
Nobody, but NOBODY would make the mistake of thinking the SAHB were a bunch of effete musicians....
Give them a wrong look and your world would implode. Menace personified.

Max, you are well aware I am now 24.

S. My mate saw the BCRs around 1969 and they were the best 'bubblegum' band in Edinburgh. Several years (and 35 members)later it was a dreadful bunch of neds making a horrendous noise.
Girlies loved it!

I am not that keen on Alex Harvey. It should suit me but something just aint not right mate. Maybe it is because they are from Glasgow.....
